Villa Cency, Lanzarote

Puerto Del Carmen is known for its nightlife, but that doesn’t mean a holiday here can’t involve a bit of rest and relaxation. Villa Cency is set in a quiet part of Puerto Del Carmen, but just over five minutes’ walk from the clubs, bars and restaurants, it scores highly on both looks and location.

In terms of appearance, it’s a cubist whitewashed villa complete with a big dark wood balcony. There’s a good-sized pool and a sun terrace, too, neither of which you have to share with anyone else. Sunloungers, a table and chairs and a barbeque finish things off nicely.

Step inside, meanwhile, and you’ll find a place that’s big enough for six. It’s decorated in cool white, so it keeps things light and airy. Add quirky splashes of art, chunky pine furniture and plenty of plants, and you’ve got a place that gives off quite a homely vibe. Plus, there’s a kitchen which has been kitted out with all the essentials to make self-catering a breeze.

On top of all that, you’ve got Puerto Del Carmen’s gorgeous beach nearby, too. This six kilometre stretch of sand is just a ten-minute walk away, in fact. Lined with bars and restaurants, it’s the perfect place to chill out, sip a cocktail, and get ready for another night out.
